Greetings pilots!! My name is Adam Midkiff SWVA5001 and I am the Crew Base Manager for the Orlando hub. Rhen Nathe SWVA5002 is the Crew Base Assistant Manager. We would like to welcome you to the Orlando hub. Please have a look around and see the great new things we have in store for our pilots and those looking to become a part of our family. Do you have you CORRECT e-mail addres listed in your profile? It is a requirement that your e-mail address is update and CORRECT.

Are you registered for the forums yet? If you are not yet registered for the forums, PLEASE contact hub management right away and we will get you going. A lot of hub business is posted IN the forums that may not be posted here, not to mention all the other information systemwide.

Have you read through the Standard Operating Procedures for SWVA yet? If not, you need to do that. It has all our rules and regulations that we live off of here. Please remember to pay special close attention to the PIREPS you file. PIREPS will be deleted after 48 hours if mistakes are not corrected after notification.


April 11 Update

WHERE ARE THOSE 737-800's AT????

A lot of us have been asking and asking where are those beautiful canyon blue 737-800's we picked up? Well...... THEY ARE AIRBORNE!! The 2 that Southwest has at the moment are flying specific routes for a while until more -800's are brought online.

March 22 Update

A couple things for you as we head into the weekend.

1. Please welcome RHEN NATHE as our new Crew Base Assistant Manager here in Orlando. Rhen has a lot of experience here at Southwest Virtual and will be a great asset to us here.

2. PLEASE familiarize yourself with the SOP for our VA. We live off that document here in Orlando. It covers flight requirements, PIREP filing details, and SO MUCH MORE!! Please be sure you know what our procedures are here in Orlando. A copy of our SOP can be found above.

3. If you are not yet registered for the forums, PLEASE let us know right away and we will get you going. It is REQUIRED to be registered in the forums and TO USE THEM as an active pilot.

Now let's get out there and tear up the virtual skies and show these other hubs in our system that we mean serious business!!!

My name is Adam Midkiff and I have been named the new Crew Base Manager for the Orlando hub. I come to you from PHX where I was a chief pilot and HOU where I was the CBAM.
