New Phoenix Assistant Crew Base Manager Announced

April 28th, 2013

Cameron Harrison (formerly SWVA8151) is the new Assistant Crew Base Manager for Phoenix. Cameron has flown with Southwest Virtual for four years, and is active in the forums and on VATSIM.


Phoenix Pilot Challenge Announced

New Phoenix Crew Base Manager Announced

August 12th, 2012

Alexander Tucker will now be serving as Crew Base Manager for Phoenix. Alexander has flown with Southwest Virtual for three years, and is active within the forums and on VATSIM.


New Phoenix Assistant Crew Base Manager Announced

March 19th, 2012

Bryan Ramsey has been selected to fill the position of Assistant Crew Base Manager for the Phoenix Crew Base. Bryan has flown with Southwest Virtual for three years and is an active pilot on VATSIM. Bryan, welcome to the management team.


Long-time crew base manager retirement

August 1st, 2011

Howard Lindsay has announced his retirement from crew base management, effective August 1st, 2011. Howard has been a valued member of Southwest Virtual's management team for many years and has contributed a great deal to the organization. You will still find him on PHX's active roster. Thank you Howard!


January 2011 Pilot of the Month

March 2nd, 2011

The month of February slipped by without announcing PHX's pilot of the month for January. Congratulations to SWVA8246 – Scott Roe, who finished with a crew base high of 34 flights and 57 hours.


February Flight Line

January 31st, 2011

In the shortest month of the year, we will be featuring one of the longest flight lines. Completing this flight line may take some planning to get it done during February, but if you do, you may request to have 10 bonus hours added to your total. Please note that the line must be completed in February in order for the bonus hours to be available.


New URL for SWVA Operations

All pilots should begin using http://ops.virtualswa.com to access SWVA Operations to file your PIREPs.

Additionally, please download updated files for FSACARS and FSPAX.


Miss the previous month's flight line?

October 12th, 2010

Couldn't get to the flight line last month? Pilots may now complete both flight lines listed on the flights page.


Bonuses and flight line completion

October 12th, 2010

Bonuses will be available for certain flight lines. Eligibility will be announced. Bonuses are optional – if a pilot would like to accept a 5 hour bonus, they may request the bonus in their message to notify PHX management of their flight line completion.
